One Question to Ask When Presented with a Large Repair Bill

Do you know that you could save hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars next time you receive a large estimate from your independent auto repair shop by asking one question? Just this past month, here at MMP, we had 2 opportunities to save our customers money and we did just that!

1) St Clair C., 2011 Dodge Durango – After coming to us with work done on his SUV while visiting St. Petersburg, Florida, we effected warranty repair since we and that original repair shop are both NAPA Auto Care Centers. We eventually discovered that there was an extended warranty on the entire driver’s side engine head assembly (including camshafts, cam phasers, lifters, and valves). We took the car to Gulfgate Dodge for the customer and they completed replacement of the entire head assembly within one week - all without any cost to the customer!

2) Sam P., 2008 Dodge Magnum – Car came into MMP for a no start condition. Initial diagnostic revealed a communication problem between the WINN module and the FOB (ignition key). Fresh from our experience with the 2011 Dodge Durango, our ASE Master Tech quickly communicated with our closest Dodge dealer and discovered there was indeed a recall on that vehicle for the exact same symptoms. The customer had the car towed to the dealership and had the car repaired, again within a few days with $0 out of his pocket for the repair. Boom - another happy customer!

Bring your car in and let us answer that question for you: Is there a warranty or recall for that?
